What length of pipe do I need to connect a diverter to a water butt?

Our diverters usually come with around 50cm (1/2 a metre) of hose as standard, but longer lengths of hose are available by request in black or white. You can have more than half a metre of hose running from the diverter to the water butt, but with longer lengths, we recommend having something to support the hose due to the weight of water going through.
